| We use the simple present to talk about:
- things that are always true
- habits and things thatare generally true or habitually happen.
- We often use with words that tell you how often: e.g. always, often. never, sometimes, usually, once a day, twice a week, every year, all the time.
Remember:
- Contractions: don't = do not / desn't = does not.
- Verbs of 3rd people of singular, goes with s in the end.
- He works/plays/lives
- She watches/finishes/goes/does
- Say: He has not, he goes, he does.
Positive sentences.I work You work He/she/it works We work They work. Negative:Subject+aux negative+verb. I don't work You don't work He/She/It doesn't work We don't work They don't work. Interrogatives and + answers:Aux+Subject+verb / answer is: Yes or no+subject+aux) Do I work? - Yes,I do Do you work? - Yes, You do Does he/she/it work? - Yes, he/she/it does work --> verb doesn't s in the end, because there is an auxiliary verb.Do we work? -Yes, We do Do they work? - Yes,They do. or QUASI (question word, auxiliary, subject, infinitive) Where do you live?
