| Part 2:
- Use past simple with adverbs of time:
- las week/month(s)/year.
- Ago
- Yesterday
- When verbs is in past simple, don't use the hour(s) in the sentences beacuse already present an abverb of time. e.g: yesterday.
- Spelling rules for regular verbs. 1
- In regular verbs add ed.
- Words that finish in "Y" and befiore goes a consonant add ied.
- e.g. study = studied.
Words that finish in "Y" and before goes a vowels add ed. e.g. play = payed. Short word goes double the last lleter + ed, only if finish in consonants. e.g. stop = stopped. Short words that finish in vowels add d. e.g. smoke = smoked. When answer a negative (-) question, verb doesn't add ed. e.g. They didn't want. When you make a question, verb always goes in infinitive. e.g. Where did you want to go? I didn't know. When verb it's in past is not necessary put tthe hour(s) in the same sentence, if in that sentence there are an abverb of time (yesterday, last week/months/year, ago) Two syllabes verbs with the stress on the first syllabe don't double the final consonant. answer = answered.
